What we have been learning about
11/9/26 We’ve had such a fantastic first full week together! In phonics, we kicked off our learning with the 's', 'a', 't', and 'p' sounds, and we’ve loved exploring our feelings through our story of the week, 'The Colour Monster'. The children drew  pictures of what makes them happy, with lots of lovely mentions of 'cuddles from mummy!' Over in maths, we’ve been busy sorting items that are the same and different. The children did a brilliant job matching pairs of socks and explaining why the odd ones didn't belong. Everyone is settling so nicely into our daily routines and working hard on their sharing and turn-taking skills!
4/9/26 Well done Reception! We have had a lovely start to the year! The children have enjoyed meeting new friends and exploring their new environment. We have spent time learning our new school routines and getting to know each other. I hope everyone has a lot of rest over the weekend and look forward to seeing everyone again next week!
