It has been another busy and enjoyable week in Year 3! In English, we have been developing our descriptive writing, using nouns, adjectives and verbs. In Maths, we have continued to strengthen our understanding of place value and apply our skills to different challenges. In Science, we explored different types of skeletons and discussed their features and properties. We also had some fantastic conversations in PSHE about our ‘dream school’, sharing creative ideas about what we would include. Well done, Year 3, for another week of hard work and enthusiasm! |

This week, Year 3 have been working hard across all of their learning. In English, they have been developing their persuasive writing skills, while in Maths they have continued building their understanding of place value. In History, they became historians as they explored Stone Age artefacts and used them to find out more about life in the past. Most importantly, they have continued to be such an amazing class! Well done Year 3 and have a nice weekend. |

What a lovely first full week we have had in Year 3! The children have settled in beautifully, and it has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they get to know their new routines, friends and learning. We have started reading Ug: Boy Genius of the Stone Age and have begun writing our own comics in the style of Ug, as well as exploring place value in Maths. We have also had lots of fun getting creative as we begin decorating our book corner for the competition next week. We are so proud of how positively everyone has started the year and the fantastic progress they are already making. |

What a fantastic start to Year 3! After a six-week break, the children have returned to school brilliantly and have made the exciting move up to KS2 with such confidence. Over the past two days, we have been busy settling into our new routines, getting to know our classroom and creating displays to make it feel like our own space. We have also enjoyed Maths and writing activities, explored the class library to find books we love, and recapped our Year 2 times tables. It has been such a positive start, and we are so proud of how well everyone has settled in. We are looking forward to a wonderful year ahead! |
