This week in LAN, we have been learning all about ourselves and what makes each of us special and unique. We explored our story Kindness Makes Us Strong, which was a lovely way to begin our first full week together. Through the story, we talked about sharing, caring and friendship, and how our kind actions can make a big difference to others. As part of our “All About Me” learning, we have been talking about ourselves, our likes and dislikes, and the things that make us who we are. We have also been busy creating our own self-portraits, looking carefully at our features and choosing colours to represent ourselves. The children have enjoyed lots of hands-on learning throughout the week, developing their creativity and fine motor skills through playdough, chalk colouring, cutting and sticking activities. It has been a wonderful week of learning, creating, building friendships and celebrating what makes us all unique! |
