Our Provision

Our Nursery children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. You can read about this by following this link: https://www.gov.uk/early-years-foundation-stage. This child-led approach allows for 'teaching alongside' as well as direct adult-led activities, such as learning to count, sounds and letters. Children follow the phonics programme, 'Letters and Sounds' (Phase 1).

Our Nursery offers 15 and 30 hour places. There are two options in which 15 hour places can be taken and these are detailed in our admissions policy and application form, found below.

Our Facilities

We have a range of ways to stimulate learning through the outdoors. Our school site has a dedicated Forest School area and Miss Stoate is a qualified Forest School teacher. We also have a well equipped outdoor space, just for our Early Years children which includes:

  • climbing apparatus
  • a mud kitchen
  • bikes and trikes
  • a 'hill'
  • sandpit

We also have a wide range of construction materials for children to explore. We seek to develop children's Mathematics and Language skills through this space as much as possible.

Session Options

The following are the options for Nursery sessions:

Option 1:   15 hours per week

Nursery Intake

The deadline for our January 2021 intake is Friday 23rd October 2020 and for our April 2021 intake the deadline is February 12th  2021. Any application handed in after this date will be treated as a late applicant.

To apply for a place at our nursery, please either pop in to see us to get an application form or download the one below. Please read the admissions policy before completing an application. If you have any questions, or would like to arrange a visit, please call the school office on 01932 847 674.

School Place Application

Children in our Nursery are not automatically enrolled into Reception class. It is vital that parents/carers apply for a place. If your child was born between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017 you will need to apply for a school place. You can now apply by going to surreycc.gov.uk/admissions or you can call on 0300 200 1004.  The closing date is 15 January 2021.
